Our Review Methodology

Some of the brands on this page are our partners. If you click a link and sign up, we might get a commission. But here's the thing: that has zero effect on our ratings or reviews. We call it like we see it, every single time. Our recommendations are based on real testing, not who pays us.

Most casino review sites skip the hard work. They publish lists based on affiliate commissions, marketing emails from operators, or demo-mode testing that bears zero resemblance to real player experience.

AviatorSmart is different. Every casino rating comes from real money testing, real withdrawal attempts, and real customer support interactions. We’re transparent about how we score – not to look good, but because you deserve to know exactly what you’re reading.

Why Trust AviatorSmart
  • Half a century of combined know-how in online casinos, crypto gambling, and sports betting
  • Zero bias in our ratings: commissions exist, but they never decide what score a casino gets.
  • Reviews updated monthly: a casino that was great in January might be terrible by March. We stay on top of it.

Why Methodology Matters

This page explains our exact methodology. If you spot a flaw in our approach, we want to hear it. Email us at corrections[at]aviatorsmart.com.

Our 8-Point Scoring System

Each casino receives a score from 1–10 on eight separate categories. These aren’t arbitrary. Each measures something a real player cares about.

1. Aviator Experience (10 points)

The core. How smooth is the actual Aviator gameplay on this casino’s platform?

We test:

  • Load time – From clicking “Play” to seeing the game interface. Measured in seconds.
  • In-game lag – Does the crash timing delay? Do multipliers update in real-time?
  • Bet placement speed – How fast does a bet execute after clicking? Any missed inputs?
  • Cash-out responsiveness – From clicking cash-out to balance updating. Critical for fast-moving rounds.
  • Round reliability – Do games ever freeze? Disconnect? Lose bet history?

A casino with excellent bonuses but laggy Aviator gameplay loses points here. Gameplay quality is non-negotiable.

2. Bonus Value (10 points)

Nobody cares about a 500% bonus that’s impossible to claim. We calculate the real value.

We evaluate:

  • Wagering requirements – Must be playthrough once to cash out? Twice? 40x? 60x?
  • Game contribution percentage – Does a $100 bonus on slots contribute 100% toward rollover, but only 10% on crash games? We note it.
  • Maximum bet limits – Some bonuses allow $1 max bets until complete. That destroys value.
  • Time limits – Bonus expires in 7 days? 30 days? We test realistically.
  • Minimum deposit – $20 minimum? $500? Matters for comparison.
  • Real effective value – We calculate what percentage of the bonus you’ll realistically keep.

A 200% bonus with 20x wagering on Aviator is worth more than a 500% bonus with 60x requirements on slots only.

3. Withdrawal Speed (10 points)

Withdrawal time separates good casinos from poor ones. We test with real money.

We measure:

  • Request to processing – How long after you submit a withdrawal request does it show “processing”?
  • Processing to wallet – From casino approval to crypto actually hitting your wallet address.
  • Total time – Bank request to funds received. Measured in minutes, not “business days.”
  • Consistency – Is every withdrawal fast, or just the first one?
  • Multiple withdrawal methods – We test crypto, fiat, e-wallets separately.

Sub-5-minute withdrawals earn top marks. Anything over 24 hours without explanation loses points.

4. Crypto Support (10 points)

For cash game casinos, crypto support is critical. We test the full picture.

We assess:

  • Number of cryptos – Just Bitcoin? Bitcoin and Ethereum? 15+ options?
  • Deposit limits – Can you deposit $20 or only $500 minimum?
  • Withdrawal limits – Max per day? Per month? No limits?
  • Conversion fees – Casino marks up rates? We calculate the spread.
  • Network options – Bitcoin on-chain only? Lightning Network? Ethereum ERC-20 AND Polygon? (Network matters for speed.)
  • Verification requirements – KYC for every deposit or just large withdrawals?

Strong crypto support includes 5+ coins, low fees, and flexible limits.

5. Game Selection (10 points)

Variety keeps you engaged. We count and evaluate.

We review:

  • Total game count – 100 games? 500? 2,000?
  • Crash game variety – Just Aviator, or also Spaceman, Bustabit, Crash, and others?
  • Spribe availability – How many Spribe titles beyond Aviator? (Plinko, Limbo, Keno, etc.)
  • Other provably fair games – Dice, Mines, Hi-Lo, Slide?
  • Slot inventory – Variety of providers? (Pragmatic, Relax, Evoplay, etc.)
  • Live dealer options – Roulette, blackjack, baccarat?

A casino with just Aviator scores lower than one offering Aviator plus 10 other crash and skill games.

6. Mobile Experience (10 points)

50%+ of casino users play on mobile. Slow mobile is disqualifying.

We test on:

  • Android and iOS – Separate testing on both operating systems.
  • Screen sizes – Small phones (5″), medium (6″), large (6.5″+).
  • Network speeds – We test on 4G/LTE, not just WiFi.
  • App responsiveness – Button clicks instant? Any lag?
  • Battery drain – Does 30 minutes of gameplay destroy your battery?
  • Data usage – Streaming HD video or compressed images?
  • Native app vs. browser – Does the app exist? Is browser version just as fast?

Top marks go to casinos with dedicated apps and smooth 4G performance.

7. Trust & License (10 points)

Licensing and operating history matter. We investigate.

We evaluate:

  • License jurisdiction – Curaçao? Malta? Cyprus? UK? U.S. territory? Each has different standards.
  • Operating history – In business since 2018 or 2023? Longer is safer.
  • Known disputes – Has this casino been involved in licensing disputes, fraud allegations, or enforcement actions? We check.
  • Player complaints – Independent forums (Reddit, AskGamblers, Complaints.com). Patterns tell us something.
  • Transparency – Clear terms? Visible license number? Accessible support?
  • Third-party audits – eCOGRA certification? TST audits? ITech Labs testing?

Even a well-licensed casino loses points if player complaints cluster around the same issue.

8. Customer Support (10 points)

Good support saves you when things break. We test it.

We measure:

  • Response time – live chat – We ask questions and record response seconds.
  • Response time – email – Submit a question, measure hours to first response.
  • Response time – social media – Tweet at them, check if they respond within 24 hours.
  • Knowledge depth – We ask technical questions (e.g., “Does Aviator contribution 100% toward wagering requirements?”). Do they answer correctly?
  • Multilingual support – English only? 5 languages?
  • Availability – 24/7 support or 9-to-5?
  • Willingness to help – Do they actually solve problems or deflect?

Fast, knowledgeable, available support is worth real money in peace of mind.

How We Calculate the Final Score

Each of the eight categories gets a 1–10 score. The final rating is a weighted average, not a simple mean.

Here’s the weighting:

Weighted categories (1.5x multiplier):

  • Aviator Experience – This is why you’re here. Laggy gameplay ruins everything else.
  • Trust & License – A fast, fun casino that scams you is worse than a slow, safe one.

Standard categories (1.0x multiplier):

  • Bonus Value
  • Withdrawal Speed
  • Crypto Support
  • Game Selection
  • Mobile Experience
  • Customer Support

Formula: (Aviator×1.5 + Trust×1.5 + Bonus + Withdrawal + Crypto + Games + Mobile + Support) ÷ 10

Why the 1.5x weight? Because a casino can score 9/10 on support, but if players can’t actually play or can’t trust the operator, the review is worthless.

What We Actually Test

Not demo mode. Not someone else’s testing. Real money testing by our team.

For every casino review, we:

  • Make a real deposit (minimum $100 in cryptocurrency or fiat).
  • Play Aviator across 10+ rounds, betting varying amounts.
  • Test cash-out on multiple rounds (including at different multiplier tiers).
  • Play other available games (slots, live dealer, crash variants).
  • Request a withdrawal and time it from request to wallet.
  • Contact support with basic and technical questions.
  • Test mobile app on 2+ devices (iOS and Android).
  • Document everything: screenshots, timestamps, response times.

This costs money and time. That’s why most review sites don’t do it. We do.

How Often We Re-Test

Casino standards change. Platforms update. Support quality varies. We refresh our reviews quarterly.

Quarterly re-reviews: Every three months, we re-test casinos currently rated in our top 10. This catches platform degradation, bonus changes, and support issues.

Immediate re-test: If we receive player complaints about a casino we’ve rated highly, we re-test immediately. If substantiated, we update the review within 72 hours.

Removal policy: If a casino receives multiple substantiated complaints about withdrawal delays, unfair terms, or unresponsive support, we lower the rating or remove it entirely.

Our provably fair technology guide explains this further.

Our Independence

Full transparency: AviatorSmart earns referral commissions when you sign up through our links. This is how we fund the site.

Does this influence our ratings? No. Here’s how we prevent bias:

  • Affiliate relationships don’t affect scores. We review casinos we have partnerships with AND casinos we don’t. Some highly-rated casinos don’t have affiliate programs with us.
  • We publicly rate poor casinos despite partnerships. If a casino pays well but fails our Aviator Experience test, they get a low score. (We have examples in our archives.)
  • Commission amounts don’t vary by our rating. We don’t earn higher commissions for giving 9/10 vs. 7/10.
  • We’ve removed casinos we partnered with. When testing revealed withdrawal delays and false advertising, we lowered their rating and disclosed it in the review update.

Our reputation is worth more than any single commission. You won’t trust us otherwise.

Read our Editorial Guidelines for full affiliate disclosure and content standards.

How to Read Our Reviews

Each casino review is structured the same way:

  • Overall Score (1–10): The weighted average from our eight categories.
  • Category Breakdown: Individual scores with explanation. You see exactly where we deducted points.
  • Summary verdict: Who should play here? Who should skip it?
  • Detailed analysis: The full story. Strengths, weaknesses, specific game availability, withdrawal options.
  • Comparison table: Quick look at this casino vs. others on the same metrics.
  • Affiliate disclosure: Do we have a commission relationship? (Always disclosed in the review.)

Use the comparison tables to rank casinos by what matters most to you: speed, game selection, bonus value, or security.

Feedback & Corrections

We make mistakes. Player circumstances change. Casino terms update. If you spot an error or outdated information in our reviews:

  1. Email us: corrections[at]aviatorsmart.com with your casino name, the issue, and any documentation.
  2. We investigate: We re-test if needed, verify claims independently.
  3. We publish a correction: Within 48 hours, we update the review with a noted correction timestamp.

Readers deserve accuracy. Help us stay credible.
